MAPLEWOOD, NJ – Securities Arbitration Commentator, Inc. (“SAC”), publisher of the industry-standard newsletter service, Securities Arbitration Commentator/Alert, announced today that Linda P. Drucker, Associate General Counsel of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., San Francisco, CA, has agreed to serve as a member of SAC’s Board of Editors.
ABOUT MS. DRUCKER
As Associate General Counsel of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., Linda Drucker manages a team of attorneys and paralegals located in San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, and Phoenix. That group represents Schwab in FINRA arbitrations and other legal matters nationwide. Linda has, in nearly 20 years at Schwab, supervised some 3,500 arbitration cases and disputes, and worked with hundreds of outside counsel, mediators, and expert witnesses. During the credit crisis, she spearheaded Schwab’s defense of the high-profile, high-exposure arbitration, regulatory, and class action proceedings arising out of the decline of the $13.5 billion dollar YieldPlus mutual fund.
Linda is a member of FINRA Dispute Resolution’s neutral roster -- classified as a non-public arbitrator – and serves as a long-standing member of SIFMA’s Arbitration Committee. Formerly, she was a member of FINRA’s National Arbitration and Mediation Committee, from 2007 to 2010, acting as one of the NAMC’s securities industry representatives. She is also a member of the California Bar Association’s Financial Services Committee, speaks regularly at SIFMA’s Compliance & Legal Society’s Annual Conference, and has made presentations to other legal groups on a variety of securities-related topics.
About her new assignment as a SAC Editorial Board member, Linda said: “I am honored and excited to join a group of individuals who have been so influential in the securities arbitration arena and who have made SAC the invaluable resource it is today. I look forward to working with the current board and editor-in-chief to maintain the publication’s high standards and relevance to the securities arbitration community and to add value to that endeavor in whatever way I can.”
Rick Ryder, Editor-in-Chief of SAC, welcomed Ms. Drucker with these remarks: “Linda’s background in securities arbitration is extensive. As an accomplished litigator and legal strategist, with an early background as a journalist, Linda experiences securities arbitration from a number of perspectives and complements the existing members of SAC’s Board in a variety of ways. We are proud that Linda has agreed to serve.”
