Abstract
Customer-initiated cases requesting attorney fees are surveyed for frequency of attorney fee awards by the top eleven states, with an added limited review of awards by forum. Survey sample: 2,423 Awards issued 1996-1998 involving claims over $10,000. Individual state results show unexpectedly wide variance from the overall frequency of fee awards for the sample; with chart and commentary.
